ADRIAN NOWITZKE

Tell us about yourself.

I have over 20 years in the healthcare and wellness industry. In 2002 I received my licensed massage therapist (LMT) 

degree and in 2007 I started schooling and received my Registered Nurse (RN) Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lakeview College. I worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Neuro, Surgical, Trauma ICU and was a PACU Nurse at Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center.

2013 to present I obtained the degrees of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. I worked at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital from 2014 to 2020 as a CRNA and 2020 to present as a CRNA at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center & Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center.

October 2020, I attended Beautiphi Academy, the aesthetic training academy in Rochester, MI, for advanced practice medical providers. I am committed to continued learning and growth in advanced aesthetic techniques that are evidence based and safe.

November 2020, I started Aesthetics by Adrian. I practiced aesthetics solo for 20 months then founded Behold Aesthetics and Wellness Center July 1, 2022. Our team started with 3 additional RN, BSN aesthetic injectors and added one licensed esthetician to our team in December of 2022.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

I absolutely love my patient consults. Spending time developing a lasting relationship with them, listening to their concerns, reviewing their medical history, and tailoring a custom treatment plan specific to their wellness and aesthetic needs that will deliver results. Seeing them smile, knowing we are making a positive difference, helping to boost their confidence are the best parts of my day.  I love connecting with our clients and they truly become part of our Behold family. 

I also feel that my advance knowledge of head, face, and neck anatomy as an anesthesia provider (love of science) truly help me visualize and bring to life the cosmetic results (love of natural beauty) patients are searching for. Their faces are a unique canvas made up of bone, muscle, fat, and skin cells. Teaching and educating them on these unique structures and how they are affected in the aging process or how the skin (our bodies largest organ) can become disrupted. Then teaching them how we can help with these issues. I think patients need to understand why things are happening and be informed with their aesthetic and wellness treatment plans.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I think the answers is above. - making a positive impact in the lives of my patients by helping to boost their confidence! I am a cheerleader at heart! I will always be your hype girl!

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

As the leader of the Behold team I absolutely love walking in the door and see everyone smiling, laughing, and caring for our patients. I love helping to empower those on my team to grow and learn. I truly have the “dream team!” Every person who works at Behold genuinely cares about each other and our patients! I also love feeling confident in the level of safety and advanced care that is given to each of our patients at Behold. 

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I am native to Effingham County. Born and raised in Beecher City, IL and now my family and I resided in rural Shumway. Married to my sweet husband Shawn for 17 years, we have 3 kids together Jordon 25, Conner 15, Adilynn 13. We love the outdoors.  We love to travel. We love watching our kids play sports and cheer for the STL Cardinals! We have the cutest Sheepadoodle Smokie Bear and he loves giving our family lots of love.

CHRISTINA NIEBRUGGE

Tell us about yourself.

I received my accounting degree from Arizona State University and have spent 25 years in the Accounting departments of hotel/restaurant, telecom, and banking industries.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

Since I am new to the team and this industry, right now I am enjoying meeting and getting to know our patients as well as the services and products that we offer at Behold.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

I love that we are all there to help our patients feel better about themselves!!!

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

My husband Chris and I live in Effingham and have three children, Alec, Elena, and Jake as well as 2 mini golden doodles, Tilly and Mac. We spend a lot of time as a family cheering our kids on at their sporting events. When I’m not doing that, I like to exercise, read, and spend time with my awesome girlfriends.

ANA MEYER

Tell us about yourself.

I have been a registered nurse for almost 13 years now. For much of my nursing career, I have been working as a surgical nurse in the operating room and same day surgery and I continue to do so today. I enjoy meeting new people that come through the surgery department and listening to their stories. I’ve been at Behold since June 2022 and have loved every minute growing and learning in the aesthetic field of nursing.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

I’ve always been interested in skincare, treatments, and the science behind it all. I’ve had treatments done in the past and absolutely loved everything about them, so it was a really easy decision to join the Behold team and be able to provide those same treatments to others. My favorite treatment (right now because it will probably change) would be our microneedling treatments. I have loved seeing the improvement in our patient’s skin after a series of treatments and the joy of good results makes me so happy! 

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

What I enjoy most about nursing is the ability to help someone feel better, to be a “Day-maker”. Whether that be providing treatment before or after a surgical procedure, holding someone’s hand that needs to be comforted, or providing an aesthetic treatment that changes the way someone feels. I truly feel nursing was my calling to be a person someone can count on and to be someone that can make their day better.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

I love our Team! I’m so blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful group of caring and compassionate women. We all work so well together to provide the best treatment to all our patients. It really is a team effort, and it is so nice to be able to work with a team that all have our patient’s best interests at heart. 

It’s so much more than aesthetics at Behold. We love to know who you are and what makes your life full. Our patients are like family. It’s like a family reunion when you come back! 

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

My husband Mike and I have 3 wonderful children (Addison, Kason, and Emmy) and 2 sweet pups (Sadie and Millie) We have lived in the Teutopolis area since we were babies and are thankful to be able to raise our children in this community too. We love spending time outdoors, jeep rides, and having drinks around a fire. We are currently in a very busy stage of life with our kids/sports, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

BRITTANY WERMERT

Tell us about yourself.

I have 17 years nursing experience in Women's Health and Wellness in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

The ToxBooster Treatment is just one of my many favorite treatments Behold offers. The results are absolutely stunning. Wrinkle relaxers combined with the VI Peel improves your fine lines, makes your skin glow, tightens and tones, and helps improve pigmentation and acne/scars. Such a great combination!

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I really enjoy getting to know my patients and finding a treatment plan that works best for their needs. Finding time for self care is never easy and I feel so blessed that our patients choose Behold and put their trust in us to help guide them through their aesthetic and wellness journey.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?
Our team. We value each other and the personality and expertise each person brings to the table. We laugh a lot and are compassionate about the care we give. We take pride in our education, making sure we are practicing as safely and effectively as possible.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, planting flowers, shopping, learning, being outside, and rooting on The Wooden Shoes, Green Bay Packers, and St. Louis Cardinals.

CHEYENNE CASOLARI 

Tell us about yourself.

I graduated as a Licensed Esthetician in fall of 2022. Although I am new to this industry, I am so passionate about what I do and helping others feel good about themselves. One fun fact about me is I am a traveling bridal makeup artist.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

My favorite services and areas of interest would be Microneedling & Dermaplaning. I love that I have the opportunity to do certain medical services and I am so thankful that I get to use my license at its fullest here at Behold. Microneedling I get to smooth out the overall texture of my patients skin whether that be scarring or wrinkles! Dermaplaning is a form of exfoliation with instant results, little to no irritation with the oil technique that I use, and it gives you a glow like no other form of exfoliation! Plus, it removes all “peach fuzz” which is just a perk of the service. 

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I can’t express how passionate I am about all things skincare. After injuring myself with boiling water on my face and chest in 2017, I soon realized my love for skincare and that love grew into something much bigger and that is helping others with their skincare needs and treatments. Having a job where I can improve one’s confidence is so rewarding. 

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?
We always work as a team and help each other without hesitation. I love how precise and tentative we are with our work and go above and beyond for each of our patients. Our patients make working at Behold so easy; everyone is so happy to be there!!

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

My husband John and I reside in Flora, IL with our 3 Dachshunds Clover, Calvin, and Birdie. My hobbies include rewatching Gilmore girls, keeping up with the latest trends in fashion & beauty and spending time in my kitchen cooking/baking new recipes.

TRYSTA FRY

What is your experience/training/med background?

I graduated as a Licensed Esthetician in December of 2022 and am certified in dermaplaning, hydra facial, and many other services.

What is your area of specialty/ favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

A few of my favorite services and areas of interest would be Lymphatic Drainage & Dermaplaning. Lymphatic Drainage is an amazing treatment for the Lymphatic system and has so many benefits a few being minimizing dark circles & Dermaplaning is an amazing treatment for exfoliation, removing peach fuzz, and lessening appearance of wrinkles and so much more!

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

What I enjoy most being in the esthetic industry is the never-ending education and learning. I have struggled with cystic and hormonal acne for years and being able help others feel confident and beautiful in their skin is the most rewarding job ever!

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

The best feeling ever is being excited to go into work. Working with such amazing supportive women is genuinely such a blessing. Everyone is so passionate about their work, and it pushes all of us to do our best!

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

My boyfriend and I live in Vandalia, IL with our dogs Luna and Puppy. My hobbies include taking my dogs to the dog park on weekends, watching TikTok’s to keep up with all the new trends and listening to podcasts while I do my skincare.

AMANDA SETTLE

Tell us about yourself.

I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with Nutrition Wise, a private practice in Effingham, Illinois. I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma where, through pursuing a career as a ballet dancer, discovered my love for science and nutrition. I attended the University of Oklahoma where I studied Nutrition and Dietetics and earned a Bachelor of Science degree and completed my internship.

I have worked for several hospitals across Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois including St. Francis Health System, Barnes Jewish Hospital, and Memorial Medical Center. I moved to Effingham, Illinois in 2017 and worked as a dietitian for the Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2018, my former business partner, Lindsey Purcell, and myself started the private practice, Nutrition Wise. I now have the opportunity to serve my local clients in person as well as provide nutrition coaching virtually in other locations.  In the summer of 2022, I completed training for healthcare professionals for the Low FODMAP Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) from Monash University. I enjoy helping individuals and families create a mealtime strategy that fits their lifestyle, treating their health challenges, and becoming the healthiest version of themselves. This year, I am serving as the official Dietitian/Nutritionist for the Tulsa Ballet. I currently live in Effingham, Illinois with my two boys Jackson and Wesley (who love to race dirt bikes), and two cats, Kylo and Vader.

MANDY WATSON 

Tell us about yourself.

Before I started at Behold, I was a paraprofessional in special Ed and worked in education over 10 years.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

At Behold, I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things about Aesthetics and the overall Wellness of our skin. 

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?
My favorite things about being part of the team is that all my coworkers are amazing. We always help each other out when needed. We work great as a team, each caring and encouraging to others. Our patients are the best, always happy and smiling with positive mindsets. 

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I live in Cowden with my fiancé Chad and 4 kiddos (Hunter, Waylan, Timber and Lucy) In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, helping out with my kids’ school activities, shopping and taking short trips. Fun fact, I have been doing fitness kickboxing for over 6 years (taught classes for about a year) at our gym in Effingham, EpLegends Martial Arts.

AMANDA SMITH

Name and experience/training/med background?

My name is Amanda Smith. I worked as a receptionist for a plastic surgeon before I started at Behold. My prior experience made it an easy transition to the Behold team.

What is your area of specialty/ favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

Working the front desk allows me to be the first point of contact for the customer. It is so rewarding when the customers first experience with Behold is a positive one!

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

The thing I enjoy most about my job is establishing relationships with the customer, so I can provide them with a more personalize experience.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

My favorite thing about being a part of the Behold team is our impeccable teamwork and passion for patient first care. I love seeing the patient walk through the door excited to be here and leave satisfied with their service.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I am originally from Cowden, but I now live in Beecher City. My hobbies include reading, spending time with friends and family, and cooking.

AMBER WILHOUR

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

I have worked at Behold Aesthetics and Wellness Center since we opened this past June as an office staff member. I love helping clients feel their absolute best and comfortable when they visit our facility. We have many opportunities to learn about new treatment options, which better serves our clients when they have questions about our services. My favorite areas of interest are the Pixel8, laser services, facials, and skin care.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

As an office staff member, I enjoy greeting each client that walks through our door and welcoming them to our facility. We are blessed to be able to build long lasting, personal relationships with our clients. For me, seeing the happiness each person feels after their services at Behold Aesthetics is truly amazing.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?
Behold Aesthetics has an amazing group of women who are truly beautiful both inside and out.  We all work together very well and have formed long lasting friendships.  It’s so refreshing to be part of a team where everyone is willing to help each other and cheer one another on. 

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I grew up outside of Effingham and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2002.  My husband Blaine and I currently reside in rural Beecher City with our three sons: Nolan, Jonah and Raylan. These energetic boys keep us busy. In our free time, we enjoy attending the boys’ sporting events, taking trips and spending time outdoors.
